In one of the first lectures for Digital Media in Visual Arts, we discussed why we use mind maps and how they help to kick-start our thought process and show our ideas and possibilities for the project.
What is a Mind Map?
By definition; a mind map is ‘a diagram in which information is represented visually, usually with a central idea placed in the middle and associated ideas arranged around it.’ (Oxford Languages, nd)
Mind Maps not only highlight important facts & ideas, but also show the overall structure of a subject and the relative importance of individual parts of it.
In our case, we were given a task to brainstorm ideas of food dishes that interest us, for which we will finally create an advert (video, photo & leaflet mockups).
