Blog Post 8: Finalizing and Planning

Further to the research and mind-mapping, I will proceed with a video presentation made of match cuts, time-lapses and other contrasting clips. I will have two subjects in a number of the scenes to add an element of human interaction.

Video Story Board:

Comments:

  • The sunrise and sunset will give an open and close to the video.
  • Sudden transition of sounds from busy traffic will add a shock factor to the calmness of the scenes shot in nature.

Equipment:

  • Camera: Eos R – due to video capabilities, high resolution and features
  • Lenses: 50mm f/1.4, RF 70-200mm 2.8 & 16-35mm 2.8 II – This combination will give me the versatility of wide, medium and close up shots as necessary
  • Sound: Handheld recorder for ambient sounds
  • Reflector/diffuser as required
  • Sturdy tripod for stability, continuity and multiple takes of similar shots

Notes

  • I will ask two models to take part in the project and schedule filming separately to maximize the tight schedule, and take all the shots necessary with each subject.
  • I will take both photos and videos on location so that I can use either if I deem one or the other better at a later stage.
