Following the mind map, we began discussing the next step; a research board. This is used to compile all the information regarding the food item and relevant information, production of the project, equipment, the Mise-en-scène, color schemes, and everything that needs to be included in the final production.
By definition; a research board’s main purpose is to act as a form of stimulus material, comprising visual and/or verbal representation of an idea for a product or service, aiding the designer to focus the designer’s mind on the aesthetic, style and direction & execution of the project. Following quite some thought on the final product I will be creating, I chose Bao Buns (more on this in future blogs). I then worked on my research board keeping in mind all the details that I need to include, in order for it to be effective;
